How Jimbo’s Farmers Market Began
Long before Jimbo’s Farmers Market became a reality, we experienced farmers markets from every perspective.
Santiago began as a vendor and together we spent years working alongside local farmers, artisans, food producers, and small business owners at markets across North Texas.
As we became more involved, we were trusted to step in and help manage markets, giving us a firsthand understanding of what makes a market successful—for vendors, visitors, and community. What began as a shared passion for local markets eventually grew into a vision for creating a market of our own.
Every market we were part of taught us something valuable. Those experiences helped shape our vision for Jimbo's Farmers Market—a welcoming, professionally organized place where local businesses can grow, families can connect, and communities can thrive together. Our goal has always been to build on those experiences while creating a market that reflects the values we've developed over the years.

More Than a Mascot
Jimbo has always been curious, adventurous, and impossible not to smile at. Whether he was exploring the backyard, climbing onto a turtle, or finding himself in funny situations, life with Jimbo was never boring. He somehow managed to become the center of attention wherever he went. He had a way of bringing people together and starting conversations.
As Jimbo became part of our lives, he also became part of our vision. We wanted our farmers market to reflect those same qualities—welcoming, friendly, curious, and community-centered.
Before There Was Jimbo’s Farmers Market...
Before there was a logo, a website, or even the idea of starting Jimbo's Farmers Market, there was a tiny hedgehog named Jimbo.
Jimbo came into our lives thanks to the generosity of a Bedford resident through a local gifting community. We never imagined that such a small animal would one day inspire the name and personality of an entire business.

Today, Jimbo is much more than our mascot. He reminds us that communities are built through kindness, curiosity, and the simple joy of bringing people together.
